Our Mission.

Since we lost Mike Diamond in October 2018, the entire Long Beach community has come together to honor Mike and connect with each other by supporting the Michael Diamond Charitable Foundation and its annual golf outing and dinner fundraiser.

In four years, the community has raised well over $100,000 in Mike's name.  While the Foundation has supported a number of causes over the past four years, its has centered its focus on pillars of support for suicide prevention, support for veterans' causes, and support for local scholarships for students and athletes in need.

Our supporters' funds have gone to scholarships established to help fund the cost of high school for two local students each year; extensive support for the Long Island Crisis Center; significant support for veterans' causes and VFW Post 1384.

The Foundation has also stayed true to its namesake by funding yearly tuition for the Long Beach Lightning hockey team for a local young player with financial need.  And the Foundation tries to be there when called upon: During the height of the covid-19 pandemic, the Foundation provided hot meals to hospital staff and first responders; we have provided annual donations to families in need at Thanksgiving through Long Beach High School; the Foundation has made significant donations to the Long Beach Soup Kitchen and other local outreach programs; and we have supported the Long Beach Christmas Angels, Toys for Tots, and other endeavors.

All of this has been made possible by you, the members of the community who support our work. We cannot thank you enough! We are looking forward to our next golf outing and to the next chapter in our charitable endeavors. Thank you for all your support!
